Today, the Belize Defence Force continued to show their professionalism and skill by flying the Defender to Honduras to transport Officer Cadets and soldiers.

Private Calles, who successfully completed his studies in aviation engineering at Escuela de Formación de Suboficiales, Coronel Zeron Cruz for two years will now go to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for 12 months of practical training strictly on helicopter engineering. In his footsteps, Private Ku R and Private Enamorado J departed today to begin their 2-year aviation engineering course.

Also, Officer Cadet D Pop and Officer Cadet M Vasquez return to the Academia Militar de Aviación, Coronel Raul Barahona Lagos to complete their two remaining years of study. This is a 4-year pilot course, and upon completion, they will return to the BDF Air Wing as single-engine fixed-wing pilots.

Officer Cadet N Marin also returns to the Academia Militar de Aviación, Coronel Raul Barahona Lagos, to complete his last two years of studying to become an Aircraft Engineering Officer.

This school instills vital fundamentals, including physical training, leadership, responsibility, and teamwork, aligned with the same ethos instilled in the BDF.

We wish them all the best in their studies as ambassadors of our country.

Thanks to the pilots and engineers for delivering the trainees to Honduras and returning safe and sound.
