Minister of National Defence welcomes Ambassador to El Salvador
Minister of National Defence and Border Security, Hon. Florencio Marin Jr., received the Chargé d'affaires of El Salvador, Her Excellency, Lic. Graciela Marina Perez for a courtesy visit at the Curl Thompson Building, Belmopan. Accompanying Lic. Perez was Ms. Xitaly Ochoa Aguiñada, Minister Counselor at the El Salvador Embassy in Belize.
During the meeting, Minister Marin and Lic. Perez discussed defence matters and areas of cooperation that Belize and El Salvador can pursue. Minister Marin highlighted that access to their military academy and military industry are areas of interest to Belize. The possibility of getting a Salvadorean Military Attaché accredited to the El Salvador Embassy was also discussed.
Present at the meeting were Minister of State in the Ministry, Hon. Oscar Mira and Brigadier General (Ret’d), Dario Tapia, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry.
